I' t s T i me f o r t h e H o u r g l a s s

The autumn/winter 2011-12 catwalks were awash with androgynous looks last year, but as well as embracing the more masculine style, this season is about celebrating our curves in a variety of stylish women’s dresses.

We are honouring a female silhouette over the next few months, with a variety of tight-fitting outfits set to be found in high-street stores to show off ladies’ figures.

The hourglass shape is going to be the most coveted as the festive season approaches and women will be embracing their curves in a number of figure-hugging ensembles.

Pencil skirts are going to be huge as the temperature drops, and we are going to be teaming the flattering pieces with high heel courts and blouses.

Keep embracing those curves lady.. The hourglass trend is showing that maybe the fashion industry is turning back to its roots in allowing a women's figure to be shown off.

SHOE ENVY....

Really want a sparkly shoe for the Christmas season, I have been browsing the web and came across these amazing pairs from Topshop... just which ones to decide. Anyone that knows me, knows how much I have been working at the moment ( In Oasis), so I feel that i should definitely treat myself after all the hours that i have worked . I think one of these would be perfect for the Christmas season, and with a couple of Christmas parties coming up i definitely think i will get my wear out of them.

I need some disco in my life..

Carrying on with my sparkle obsession, I have researched and found that Sparkle is going to be a huge trend for Autumn/Winter. Glamorous outfits shouldn’t solely be reserved for the summertime and if you fancy investing in sparkly outfits you’ll be pleased to hear that women’s fashion designers have incorporated them into their autumn/winter 2011-12 collections.

Indeed, in order to add a bit of shimmer and shine to the cold months, outfits are going to be glossy, patent and covered in sequins.

You’ll have perfect numbers to wear to office parties with these looks, as there’ll be a variety of glitzy gowns on sale.

Louis Vuitton and Mulberry are designers that particularly spearheaded this trend on the catwalks so keep an eye on their AW11-12 lines if you want to grab some metallic pieces
